The Workers Lab was founded in 2014 on a simple idea: the people closest to the problems facing today's workforce are best positioned to solve them. Since then, we've grown into the national home for worker-centered innovation: building technology, conducting research, and investing in entrepreneurs–all with workers at the center.
Since our start, we have invested in new ideas to improve work and conducted Design Sprints to solve pressing problems. Through that work, we saw the need across sectors to utilize technology to empower workers, and to build knowledge from workers’ own experiences. We grew to fill those needs, expanding our technology and research capacities.
Today, The Workers Lab integrates technology, research, and investment, all in pursuit of a labor market where workers are safe, healthy, secure, and have power.

We build proprietary technology solutions for and with the labor movement.
