Reproductive Rights Are Worker Rights

Earlier today, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which effectively overturns the 1973 case of Roe v. Wade and nearly 50 years of precedent protecting the right to an abortion.

Reproductive rights are worker rights. Without the ability to make health care decisions and access care - including if, when, and how to have children - workers will not be safe, healthy, and secure. The impacts of this decision will be felt even more greatly for too many people in America. People living on low incomes and people of color, the types of workers we focus a majority of our efforts on, will be impacted most.

We stand with all those who will experience the effects of this harmful decision and commit to fighting for solutions that improve workers’ lives.
